Over a dozen conservation and outdoor recreation organizations will offer interactive, “hands-on” activities and education for children and adults. Make chalk from iron oxide recovered from an abandoned mine drainage treatment system, tie fishing flies, compare your “wingspan” to birds of prey, view live reptiles and amphibians, experience a photo op in a kayak, learn about local rivers and trails, and much more! Afterwards, stretch your legs on the refurbished Incline Plane Trail and learn about that project and ways you can become involved.
This event is free and open to the public, though donations to benefit the BOTTLE WORKS are appreciated.
NatureWorks is sponsored in part by the Stonycreek Conemaugh River Improvement Project ( View On Facebook ).
